Professional Background: With over 25 years of specialised experience in autism and ADHD, Carolyn brings both personal and professional insight to her practice. A Behavioural Psychologist and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with additional expertise as a Specialist Advisory Teacher, SENCO, and Specialist Autism and ADHD Coach.  Based in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, Carolyn's specialisation enables her to support individuals both locally and internationally, offering specialist coaching and mental health support. Her approach draws on a range of psychological approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion (MBSC).

Professional Experience: Carolyn's diverse professional background spans education, NHS services, and the charitable sector, where she has consistently worked with individuals with autism and ADHD.

Above all, her philosophy is not about fixing, but about liberating; creating reflective, relational spaces where individuals can author their own transformation.

 

​Carolyn works with adults providing CBT sessions from her practice near St Albans. Via the internet, she also works with clients across the UK, Ireland, USA and around the world using video calls (via a very stable 500MB fibre connection).
